In order to fulfill the course requirement of EN4166, this post is created. I admit that I couldn't find a better opening and feels quite uncomfortable when relating blogging to homework, which is seemingly a more formal stuff.
This is the main feeling of my blogging experience, which is the casualness when writing. The feature casualness isn't something rare in the new web2.0 communication tools. Everyday you text people or to leave messages in facebook, probably you wouldn't write it formally. Yet blogging, although is as causal as the tools above, it enables you to express more complicated messages easier, say like introducing a new software or to share the daily experience in detail with other people.
You can also leave messages to comment on other peoples' work without the pressure to expect a prompt answer. A late answer wouldn't be considered rude or disrespect compared with the daily texting and facebook comments. One thing that makes your time more fluctuate and not to be bounded into blogging is that blogger could save your unfinished draft or you can simply type " I will finish this post when I have done my work" as the last sentence of the uncompleted post. People would see it normal and wouldn't criticize it.

A funny facebook group which I found
The link is http://www.facebook.com/pages/Life-/163251197027197
In this page, you will find many pictures in their albums which named "lol factory". This serie expresses the matters in daily life in a funny way. After laughter, you may also say, "it's so true". Somehow we would find out how stupid we were when encountered these matters.
Words are too pale to describe these feelings, lets finish this post with an example:
Do you have the same experience and feeling when facing this in winter? :P
Hopefully after viewing you would yell out "Oh, I am one of them!" and to warm yourself with a sense of belonging in the coming winter.

Wants to be creative on words? Use Wordle!
Wordle is the new web2.0 tools that I found and I would like to share with the class. To begin with, just go to http://www.wordle.net/ and look for the details of this tool. Basically its main function is to turn words into word clouds.
It is extremely easy to turn thoughts into action, simply click on the "create" link in the web page and type the words that you wish to be converted. For example, I have copied the guidelines of this assignment on the blackboard, which are the following paragraphs:
Assignment 2: Writing a blog
Set up your own individual blog dedicated to the area of ‘writing for new media’ and
post to it as described below (at a minimum), as well as commenting on the blogs of
classmates.
‧ Write an initial post (which can be based on your group presentation) that
describes innovations in writing for new media and outlines why you think
writing for new media is an important topic which people should be interested
in.
‧ Write a subsequent post which links to news items or blogs on the internet and
reviews: either 1) critical issues in writing for new media, which you are
interested in and which are prominently covered on the internet, in news
items, blogs and other sources; or 2) other recently introduced web 2.0 writing
tools.
‧ Write a final post that evaluates your blogging experience. Include links to
comments that you have made on other people’s blogs during the semester as
well as a reflection on what the blogging experience taught you about writing
for new media.
After it has been converted, it will look like this:
Of course, you can click on the randomize button to generate another cloud. If you don't want certain words to be shown in the cloud, simply place the cursor on it and right click, then there will be a remove function. You can also print it and save it in the public gallery to let everyone view it.

My Digital Life
Through years of development, communication tools and technologies keep updating, and within all sorts of software, I think Skype is the most frequently used technologies (should be a technology I believe) of them all. Usually it is used to chat with my real life friends that are studying in foreign countries or to communicate and design strategies while I am playing multiplayer games with friends.
In this course EN4166, I think I may learn about some sorts of new software and new way that people would communicate with each other which is interesting and useful to know. Yet, followed by a technological advance, there must be impacts on the society, to understand the consequence of the new technology will enable us to better utilize the new tools, which makes the last aspects that I wish and expect to learn from this course.
In this post I would share my favorite website, which is http://www.epicfail.com/. It is a website that people share funny pictures and in a particular format (which is that you have to suit the theme fail, better with some descriptions.). To some extent, this website has become a powerful communication tool for people to share the interesting aspects they saw in the daily life. Yet to me, I didn't see it this far, and it is merely a website to trigger my laughter and help to reduce my stress lol.
To someone who is blind to new technology like me, sometimes this could happen. :P
