Blogging experience reflection

In order to fulfill the course requirement of EN4166, this post is created. I admit that I couldn't find a better opening and feels quite uncomfortable when relating blogging to homework, which is seemingly a more formal stuff.

This is the main feeling of my blogging experience, which is the casualness when writing. The feature casualness isn't something rare in the new web2.0 communication tools. Everyday you text people or to leave messages in facebook, probably you wouldn't write it formally. Yet blogging, although is as causal as the tools above, it enables you to express more complicated messages easier, say like introducing a new software or to share the daily experience in detail with other people.

You can also leave messages to comment on other peoples' work without the pressure to expect a prompt answer. A late answer wouldn't be considered rude or disrespect compared with the daily texting and facebook comments. One thing that makes your time more fluctuate and not to be bounded into blogging is that blogger could save your unfinished draft or you can simply type " I will finish this post when I have done my work" as the last sentence of the uncompleted post. People would  see it normal and wouldn't criticize it.

  1. Well, same here! I felt uncomfortable with the casualness of blogging at the beginning of the semester! Yet in the past few months, I found blog is really a great platform to express our view since we can express in a conversational way! We can add our new points and further explain our views anytime after we post. When we read the posts of classmates, we don't have to guess why the bloggers suggested so, we can just ask! This allowed us to absorb the knowledge better and hope you think so!=)
